Could you imagine if no one had ever searched for the communicative approch and we were still working with the grammar-translation approach? Classes would definitely be hard to deliver, don't you think?
You're totally right Eli, anyway we still have problems when trying to develop this competence due to the different conditions of some learning settings which do not favor the language learning. There's still much to do and you as teachers to be will keep changing the ELT world!
